Great, so I was just calling. I saw that you listed a Sea-Doo, so I just want to ask you a few questions. And if you don’t mind, I can record it and it’ll go on your listing and just, you know, answer some of the common questions that some customers might have when they’re considering buying a jet ski. So Crystal, why don’t you tell me a little bit about why you bought it, some of the maintenance and ultimately why you’re selling it now? Well, I bought it because I wanted to have one. We barely use it.
I work in the car business so I’m here 12 hours a day and I always come in most of my days off. I don’t use it. It’s been there. It just sits in my garage. So basically, I don’t want to just stay there without it being used because I don’t have time to use it.
That’s the real reason. For sure. It makes perfect sense. And when you were buying this Sea-Do RXT X300, were you comparing any other brands or models? Why did you ultimately end up with this one?
What did you like about it? Well, I was told it’s one of the best in the market. I like the size as well because it’s a three-seater. You don’t sit in it. It’s more like a little boat.
It’s like a boat. So your legs are in, you’re tucked in and everything. And I did compare it to other jet skis and for me, it had the best benefits in everything. Yeah, and it’s a really cool color. It’s like this orange-ish yellow color.
So it really, really pops. Yeah, it looks awesome. So you wrote here that it only has 85 hours on it, which is really not a lot. Can you tell me a little bit about the maintenance? And you said you’re in the car industry.
So what was the upkeep like for the next owner, just so that they don’t have any surprises in terms of what it takes to own one of these? So I had already purchased, when I purchased it, I purchased the prepaid maintenance on it for two years. I also purchased some additional like warranties on the jet ski. So I would take it in periodically so they can check it and make sure everything is good on it. It has a brand new battery because for it sitting, the first battery wouldn’t charge anymore.
So I had to replace it into a newer battery just for sitting. So it’s been kept pretty well. And just to confirm, this is salt water, right? Not fresh water? Salt water.
Yeah. And what was the flushing routine, if you had any? Was that part of your maintenance that you would send it in for? Every, well, actually I did every single time we took it out in the water. We brought it home and we would thoroughly wash it and flush it in and out.
So it was never put away dirty. And I always protected it. I think it was called salt off that you spray it on the engine and all of those parts so it doesn’t get salt on it. It actually smells brand new too. It has barely been used.
Amazing. Amazing. That is really great. For somebody that’s considering buying one of these used and they’re spending a lot of money, it’s great to hear that it’s basically like new. And so they can save money on buying new and also get something that’s really good value, which is awesome.
And just to ask, the next owner, there are probably things that the manual might not tell you when you bought it, but when you started using it, you kind of figured out eventually. Is there anything that you would just advise? If somebody was picking it up today, are there any quick tips you’d show them that maybe weren’t as intuitive? Maybe there’s some storage compartment or maybe some maintenance thing that you would recommend that might not be obvious or you had to watch a YouTube video about? Honestly, not really.
It’s very self-explanatory. It is a very easy to use gig. It’s tremendously fast. I mean, the only thing I would probably have someone look into is the sport mode. I had no idea what that was until I put it into sport mode without knowing what it was.
And it was ridiculous. Wow. What’s the top speed on this one? I don’t, I’ve never did. So that’s another thing.
We took care of it enough. Like no, nobody, it was just me most of the time or my wife driving the jet ski. And we would not go maybe over 30 or 40, but it goes, I think 80. Wow. Wow.
That’s that’s amazing. And you’re selling it now because say that again. But I’m saying that I did no modifications. It’s, you know, it’s not some people at light speed to the jet skis. We did nothing.
So that’s the ski is just talk how it came. Perfect. Perfect. So it’s in, it’s in great condition. And I think you’re just selling it now because you don’t use it enough.
You know, it only has 80 some hours on it, which is barely used. And the trailer is included, correct? Yes, it is. Okay. Amazing.
