How it works: Selling With Commonplace
1. List your item for free – Fill out a short form with your item details and phone number—no account needed.
2. Buyers browse your listing – Once live, interested local buyers can view and purchase or bid on your item directly.
3. Pickup is scheduled – A trained driver contacts you to coordinate a convenient pickup time.
4. Item is inspected on-site – The driver checks your item to confirm it matches the listing description.
5. You get paid – Payment is sent via Venmo, PayPal, or Bank Transfer/Cash App after inspection.
What does “Handled By Commonplace” mean on a listing?
“Handled by Commonplace” is included with every purchase on the marketplace. Our trained team inspects the item to make sure that it is working and matches the seller description, ensuring it meets quality standards before delivery.
Do I need special shoes to use the bike?
The peloton bike arrives standard with clip in pedals.
The pedals can be replaced with flat pedals if you order them separately.
Clipping into the pedals enables you to workout your hamstrings by pulling up on the pedal as well as your quads by pushing down.
What’s the difference between Gen 1, 2, 3, and Bike+ Peloton bikes?
Gen 1: Oldest model; Peloton has discontinued class streaming on this version. Slower performance and outdated screen tech.
Gen 2: Still supported, but features slightly lower screen resolution and weaker audio compared to Gen 3.
Gen 3: Most current version of the original bike, with a sharper display, better sound, and faster performance.
Bike+: The flagship model, featuring a 23.8″ 360 degree rotating (swivel) screen (2.3″ larger), auto-follow resistance, and a premium 4-channel speaker system.

How much does delivery cost, and is it included?
Delivery starts at $150 and is calculated at checkout based on the distance between the buyer and seller.
We offer white glove service, which means our team handles pickup, transport, and full in-home setup — so you don’t lift a finger.
Warranty: Do you offer a warranty on products?
Yes, we offer a 12-month extended warranty on some products that you can purchase at checkout. If anything goes wrong during that time, our service team will come to repair the poduct. If it can’t be fixed, we’ll replace it with another gently used item—hassle free.
How do bids work?
For Buyers: You can place bids on specific listings or on entire product categories (like “Peloton Tread”). When a category-wide bid is placed, any seller with a matching item within that location can choose to accept it. If your bid is accepted, you’ll be notified and can review the listing and condition and finalize the purchase.
For Sellers: You’ll see any bids placed under your listings. You can accept a bid at any time to send it to the buyer for review. If a buyer places a category-wide bid and your item matches, you can accept that offer and initiate the purchase process.
How can I cancel/edit my listings?
Go to your dashboard located in the top right corner of your screen and navigate to “My listings.” You can press the pencil icon update details or the trash icon to remove the listing entirely.
What is the return policy?
All sales are final, however, our buyer protection ensures full coverage if the item does not meet the described condition, or is damaged during transit. You can inspect, test, and use your product upon delivery. If anything is wrong at that time, we’ll swap it out for free. After delivery, products are no longer eligible for returns or swaps.
If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, contact us immediately so we can make it right.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations are subject to a 10% restocking fee. However, if your order hasn’t arrived within 2 weeks, you can cancel for a full refund—no fee.
