Laura purchased the Frame Fitness Pilates Reformer toward the end of 2023. She had pictured herself becoming a regular Pilates user at home, but the machine saw only about twenty sessions before she realized her preference leaned toward yoga studios instead.

The reformer includes a large digital screen that still works well. Laura explained how the screen supports virtual classes through a subscription that runs around forty dollars a month. The same screen also tracks usage metrics such as how often the machine is used.

"It's really similar to the idea of a lot of the other digital fitness machines," she said. Classes range from beginner to advanced levels, and users can pause, choose instructors, or focus on specific areas. Laura found the big screen helpful for checking form during movements that require careful body positioning.

The unit remains in excellent condition after light use and daily storage right beside her in the home office. It is the same Midnight model still sold new today, and Laura is including the matching Pilates box that normally adds three hundred dollars on its own.

She listed the full set for thirty three hundred fifty dollars with local pickup. Laura noted that the reformer retailed for a little under five thousand dollars when she bought it, plus the separate cost of the box. The machine has stayed in top working order throughout its time in her office.

Laura hopes the next owner will put the reformer to regular use. It has remained a quiet, reliable piece of equipment that simply did not match her own schedule and preferences.

The complete interview, lightly cleaned up for reading:

Commonplace: You're listening to the Commonplace talk show where we have real owners, real listings, and Commonplace is where you buy and sell high value items the safe way. We verify the item, we hold the payment in escrow, and we handle the delivery door to door. So today, we have a Frame Fitness Pilates Reformer that is in great condition and is listed at an excellent price. And let's meet the owner. So tell me a little bit about this reformer, when you bought it, how much you've used it, and why you're selling it now.

LAURA: I've had my Frame Reformer since I believe I bought it in 2023, towards the end of that year. Really thought I was going to be a Pilates girl in my home, and turns out I'm actually a yoga studio person. So it's in excellent condition. I've probably used it a total of 20 times, so everything's in really great working order. It comes with a big digital screen that works perfectly. I just found it wasn't a fit for my lifestyle, so I'm hoping somebody else can benefit from it.

Commonplace: That makes perfect sense. So you tried Pilates, but just wasn't for you. But tell me a little bit more about this machine specifically because most Pilates reformers don't necessarily have a screen on them. So tell me a little bit about how that works and, you know, can you see classes on there, or do you see metrics? Or tell me a little bit about this Pilates machine and why it's so superior.

LAURA: It's really similar to the idea of a lot of the other digital fitness machines. Like, Peloton is the one that comes to mind. So you can take classes virtually. There is a subscription required that I believe it's, like, $40 a month, and that may change. But you can subscribe, take they've got a whole list of different types of classes from beginner level to advanced. You can focus on certain areas, and you just you can pause it as it goes, which is really nice. You can choose teachers that you like and save favorites. You can also track metrics, so how often you're using it and those types of

Commonplace: Amazing. So it has this really cool feature of the screen and all the classes there. And in terms of the actual machine and, like, how it would compare to maybe some of the other Pilates reformers that don't have a screen on them, you know, how would you compare just, like, the build and the usability of it?

LAURA: Compared to other Pilates machines so I will say Pilates is one of those things where you need a ton of direction, and you certainly get that from this digital interaction where you could see are you doing things the right way and watch somebody as they're doing it. And it's a much bigger format than like, the alternative would be doing it on YouTube on your phone or something, but this giant screen you're able to kind of watch, make sure you're doing it right. You can rewind, redo the position. So I find I've found that to be incredibly helpful because in Pilates, you need to be very careful

Commonplace: For sure. And how much do these things retail either today or when you purchase them?

LAURA: When I think this is still the case. This is a little under $5,000 shipped, and it comes with a Pilates box that's an additional $299, which would be included with this machine.

Commonplace: Oh, wow. So this is almost half of that price because I've had it for a little while, but it's an excellent condition. It looks very similar. It's exactly the same one that they're still shipping today.

LAURA: It basically sits next to me in my office every day, and I want somebody else to get use out of it. But it's a beautiful machine.

Commonplace: Alright. Well, that's Laura's Frame Fitness Reformer, and it's in excellent condition as you heard. It's listed for a fraction of what it costs retail, and she's throwing in a $300 Pilates box for free. So you get all that value. And we do the delivery. We do the setup. We'll do the escrow payment, and you can also get a warranty if you'd like. And if you got something like this that you wanna sell, feel free to list it on trycommonplace.com. So, Laura, thank you so much. We'll add this to your listing, and we'll also post it on all of our social media. And we can send it to you as well if you

LAURA: Great. Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
