Buying a used Peloton Bike
A used Peloton Bike and a Bike+ are different purchases. The original Bike uses manually adjusted resistance; the Bike+ adds electronically controlled resistance and a rotating screen. Identify the exact hardware rather than treating a seller's generation label as a complete specification.
A bike's age, touchscreen and mechanical condition all matter. Any price table here comes from qualifying Bike listings, with Bike+ kept in its own category. These are asking prices, not completed sales or a quote for Peloton membership.
What used Peloton Bikes list for
Asking prices from qualifying Peloton Bike listings on Commonplace, not final sale prices. Bike+ listings are separate. Membership and any activation fee are separate.
| Brand | Typical | Range |

Common questions
Should I buy a used Peloton Bike or Bike+?
Compare the exact models and their condition. The original Bike has manual resistance adjustment; Bike+ has electronic resistance control and a rotating screen for off-bike workouts. Decide whether those features matter to you before comparing asking prices across the two categories.
What do Peloton Bike generations mean when buying used?
Ask whether the seller means the frame model or the touchscreen generation. They are not interchangeable. Confirm the installed screen model and its software support with Peloton, and use the frame serial number to request available equipment history.
Does the seller's Peloton membership transfer with a used Bike?
Treat the purchase as equipment only. Have the seller remove their account and reset the device, then activate it with your own account. Ask Peloton how to connect an existing membership or start the appropriate membership for your equipment; do not rely on continued access through the seller's login.
Will I pay an activation fee for a used Peloton Bike?
Peloton sets the used equipment activation policy separately from its recurring membership charges. Check its current fee and exemptions for your account, country and purchase before buying. A seller's asking price does not include or determine Peloton's charges.
How much is a used Peloton Bike worth?
Use current listings as asking-price comparisons, then account for the screen, mechanical condition, accessories and moving requirements. The price table appears only when enough qualifying listings are available. It is not an appraisal or a record of completed sales.
