Jessica bought her 2024 Kawasaki 160STX brand new last year and is now selling it after 45 hours of use because she no longer takes it out enough.
Jessica purchased the 2024 Kawasaki 160STX last year when she decided she wanted a jet ski. She bought it brand new and has put only 45 hours on the machine since then. The three-seater model appealed to her because she has a big family and could take everyone out together.
She describes the jet ski as really fast and smooth on the water. Jessica notes that a full tank of fuel lasts more than a full day. Her top speed reached about 25 or 30 mph, though the machine can go up to around 60 mph. She says it does not get flooded when in use and feels easy to maintain.
After each outing Jessica cleans the inside and outside herself. Her father changed the oil. The jet ski has stayed in good condition with regular care. She paid 15,150 dollars new, including the trailer that comes with active registration.
Jessica is selling because she cannot afford the monthly payments anymore and the jet ski sits in the garage most of the time. She made the purchase on impulse and now wants to move it along.
The complete interview, lightly cleaned up for reading:
Jessica: If you record your name and reason for calling, I'll see if this person is available.
Commonplace: Hey, Jessica. This is Ari calling from Commonplace about your debt ski.
Jessica: Thanks, Ari. Please stay on the line.
Commonplace: I was just calling to ask you a few questions about the jet ski that you listed on Commonplace. Do you have a few minutes?
Jessica: Yes. Of course.
Commonplace: Just give me one second. So one thing that we like to do is just ask the sellers a few questions just to, you know, add some transparency when somebody is interested, you know, in buying such a high value product. They might have some questions. And just to save you the time later, instead of everybody asking you the same questions, we'll just get this over with. And then we turn it into, like, a little bit of a clip, and we post it on YouTube and some of our social media just to drive attention to to the listing. So I'll open up with a quick intro just for anybody hearing this for the first time, and then we'll get right into the questions. You're listening to the Commonplace talk show, and we have real owners, real listings, and Commonplace is where you buy and sell high value items the Safeway. We verify the item, we hold the payment in escrow, and handle the delivery to your door. Today, we have a twenty twenty four Kawasaki one sixty SDX listed at a great price, and we're here with the owner, Jessica. So, Jessica, tell me a little bit about when you purchased it, you know, the condition that it's currently in, the maintenance that you did, and why you're selling it today.
Jessica: So I purchased it, I believe it was, like, last year. You know, it was out of the urge. I wanted a jet ski so bad. Purchased it. It was brand new. Nobody have ever used it before. I took it out a few times. It only has 45 on it. What other questions was it that you asked me?
Commonplace: It was just, you know, why are you selling it today?
Jessica: Oh, yeah. Because I I I can't afford it anymore. I'm still paying monthly on it, and it's just right now, it's you know, I I don't really take it out as much as I need to, and and two is just sitting there in the garage.
Commonplace: And when you were looking at all the different, you know, available jet skis that were for sale, how'd you pick this one? What were some of the features that you liked about it? And then tell us a little bit about what's it like in action when you're using it.
Jessica: It has well, what I liked the most was that it was a three seater. I do have a big family, so I like the fact that I was able to, you know, take my family out and, you know, stick three people in there. It's really, really fast. I enjoyed it a lot when I took it out. But other than that, you know, it's a great jet ski. It's just not some like, I made a decision based off something so quickly and an urge, and now, you know, I'm just trying to sell it.
Commonplace: Makes makes perfect sense. What does the the fuel range look like? Like, when you fill up the tank, does that usually, you know, last you the full day?
Jessica: Oh, yeah. It lasted me more than a full day.
Commonplace: And what's the top speed on it?
Jessica: That I've gone because I'm I'm a little scared of going too fast is about, I don't know, like, 25, 30, but it it goes really fast. I think it goes up to, like, 60 something, I believe.
Commonplace: And can you tell me a little bit about the maintenance history? You know, was it winterized? What do you do after you take it off the lake? You know, some of that.
Jessica: So I I do the whole I clean it myself. I've changed the what is that thing called? My my dad changed the oil on it, and and, yeah, I just clean it. I clean both the inside and the outside.
Commonplace: And is the trailer included, and what's the registration status?
Jessica: Yes. The trailer is included, and it's still active.
Commonplace: And, you know, just to to understand, so you still owe some money on it. So if this is purchased, that'll just go towards the payoff. That's what you're thinking?
Jessica: Yes. Yes. Correct.
Commonplace: Is there anything else that you really love about this jet ski that you think, you know, is underrated or not necessarily, you know, coming through in in the listing that we can just help share, you know, maybe the the ease of owning it or, like, something really exciting about it or maybe even just the value.
Jessica: Well, it is a a pretty big machine. It's it's a big jet ski. I like that it doesn't get flooded when you go in the water. Like, it's it's very smooth, very fast, easy to, you know, to maintain and and to take out. That that's one of the things that I liked about it.
Commonplace: For sure. And do you remember what this retails for with the trailer and everything?
Jessica: I think outright, I paid about $15.15 k.
Commonplace: So whoever is getting this is really getting a bargain, and that includes the delivery and the inspection of the jet ski. So it's a great deal. So anybody in interested in a jet ski, a three seater, they're not that common on the secondhand market at this price. So make sure you check out this Kawasaki one sixty f c s. And if you have anything like this that you'd like to sell, feel free to list it on Tricom and Place. And, Jessica, thank you so much. This was awesome, and I hope we can sell it ASAP.
