The full conversation

The complete interview, lightly cleaned up for reading:

Commonplace: Is this Jeff?

Jeff: Yes, sir.

Commonplace: My name is Ari. I was just calling from, Commonplace about the hot tub you listed.

Jeff: Yes, sir.

Commonplace: So, the only reason I'm calling is one thing we like to do to help our sellers, you know, sell the items is just ask them a few questions about it. You know, we know that customers may have a lot of the same questions about a product. So just to save you some time, we just ask them all upfront on a call like this, and then we add them automatically to the listing so you don't have to, you know, go back and forth.

Jeff: I I wasn't even sure it listed.

Commonplace: Well, I see the I see it here. It looks like a great a great hot tub. So, you know, just tell me a little bit about yeah.

Jeff: It's it's practically brand new.

Commonplace: Tell me about why you bought this one and what condition it's in and why you're selling it.

Jeff: It's not mine. It was my mother's. And she was an elderly woman. We we just buried her last week, and she got it.

Commonplace: I'm so sorry to hear that.

Jeff: It was it was a long time coming, but thank you. She she bought it because her bones hurt, and she liked to soak in the tub. And and it it helped her, you know, with the pain and stuff. And she, she got it and used it maybe eight months to a little over a year or something like that, and she got where she couldn't physically get in and out anymore. And so it's just kinda it's sitting in a in her garage. She's got a garage you drag your car into, automatic door and all that. So it's been sitting out of the weather and everything. It's a portable, I guess, because it's it's completely encased.

Commonplace: Is this something that you would call, like, a plug and play?

Jeff: Pretty much. And it's it's in almost brand new condition. It's been sitting in this garage, and it's been running for a long time. And my my wife and sister got together and said, you know what? We're gonna get this out of the garage and get rid of it. And so they drained it, and they they bought some some chemicals that's supposed to, you know, clean go through and clean all the pipes and everything. So they did all of that, and then they got in and and hand wiped everything down real good and just cleaned it up as good as they can. It looks like a brand new hot tub.

Commonplace: That's that's incredible. And and the price that you listed it is is great. You know, it's a fraction of what these things go for new. Do you happen to know any of the more technical details, like, maybe how many jets it has? I think you listed, like, 20 to 25 jets. Is that correct?

Jeff: I don't know. It's I I would I would hesitate to guess.

Commonplace: Anything about the, like, the filtration or the, like, electrical requirements on it?

Jeff: Yes. I I really don't know. It's it's plugged into a plug in the wall. It's it's about all I know. I don't even know how well, I think I might know how to drain it. It's got one access point that you you take the thing off. I don't I don't know about the filters or anything. I think there's there's chemicals that were left over, you know, for the the you know, keeping it clean and all that. It's got a it's got a thing that helps you put the the lid off and on, a bar thing. And there's a there's a stair a step thing that goes with it that's got a handle on it, you know, you know, to help you get in and out. All that was extra on, you know, on top of the price of the tub.

Commonplace: For sure. Do you know the condition of the cover?

Jeff: It's in perfect condition. It it looks like a brand new tub.

Commonplace: Well, I don't think I have any questions. You know, just to summarize for whoever is listening, that this tub is in excellent condition. It's it's almost like new, like you were saying. And it's a free flow spas Azure.

Jeff: Yes, sir. Yes, sir.

Commonplace: It's got about 20 to 25 jets, and it comes with a cover.

Jeff: I'm I'm not really sure that's accurate. Let me ask my wife real quick. She might know. She's the one that cleaned it. How many jets do you think that hot tub has? I don't know. I couldn't tell you. But it's it's in the picture. I don't know. I I wouldn't say twenty twenty. Probably about 16 to 20, something like that. For May to get the pamphlet. It tells everything. On the what pamphlet, dear? Wherever I lost it? There it is. I got I got paperwork everywhere. I was looking at the paperwork when I I did the stuff on there. Let me see if we're gonna see if we can get you a little more accurate information.

Commonplace: And if you'd like, if you send me some photos of the paperwork, I can add it to the listing for you.

Jeff: I think she's she says she's got a pamphlet in there that has this stuff. This all this other stuff is just saying this the color of it is sand. And oh, that's a big old thing. It would take pictures and send it to me. That's what he's saying. But Oh, yeah. That's good stuff there. That's width, length, height. Is this a good number to text you, those pictures?

Commonplace: Absolutely. You can text me some photos. And if you wanna read some of them out, you know, it automatically takes it from this call and puts it in the listing as well. So if there's any highlights you have, maybe, like, the dimensions of it, you know, any details.

Jeff: Oh, okay. And do you know It it says it's got four seats. The length is six foot nine. The width is five three. The height is 33 inches. The dry weight is 326 pounds. It's 255 gallons, and the electrical is one fifteen slash two thirty volt.

Commonplace: And then anything about the the chemical that that it can handle? Like, is it fine for chlorine and bromine? Does it have anything about that in there?

Jeff: No, sir. Not not that I can see yet.

Commonplace: Is there a year on it of when it was purchased?

Jeff: Yes, sir. It was purchased, if I can find it. 2021. 03/05/2021.

Commonplace: And are there any LED lights or built in audio features?

Jeff: There's no audio, but I think it does have a light. I think it's down at the bottom. And you just hit a button, and it turns it on and lights the whole thing up.

Commonplace: So I think I think that's it. But that covers it. And just to give, you know, whoever is listening to this, a little bit of an overview of how ConPlace works.

Jeff: Nope.

Commonplace: So we do a full inspection when the person puts a $1 deposit on it, you know, interested in the hot tub. We inspect it, make sure everything is working, that there are no leaks, things like that.

Jeff: Yes, sir.

Commonplace: We send the 30 to 50 inspection over to the customer. And then for you, we pay you upon pickup. Nothing leaves your property until you're paid in full, however you prefer. And then we do the full heavy lifting, and so it's hassle free for you. We load it up onto a truck. We have hot tub movers specifically, you know, so they know how to move a hot tub, you know, without damaging anything, of course.

Jeff: Yes, sir.

Commonplace: And then we do the full setup for the customer so that, you know, they don't have to lift a finger either. They don't have to worry about it, and they can have peace of mind knowing that they're buying something, you know, that's in excellent condition and nothing is gonna break and there are no leaks in it and and things like that.

Jeff: Yes, sir.

Commonplace: So they also get to, you know, save from buying retail. They don't have to pay full price. They're saving about half in this case, and they get that, you know, white glove concierge service that that Commonplace offers. So that's just a little overview of how that works.

Jeff: Why do you keep saying for whoever's listening?

Commonplace: Well, because we're we're adding this information in an audio clip with the slideshow of the photos that you added, you know, to the listing, and then we'll add it as, like, a video clip to the listing.

Jeff: Oh, okay.

Commonplace: So if anybody is looking at this listing, we'll be able to listen to the video clip and be able to hear, you know, any of the details that you're mentioning about the hot tub. And you'll be able to see it.

Jeff: I was I was just wondering. That was that was a curious thing.

Commonplace: It'll update, you know, in about a half hour or so. And we also write up a specific blog post with all of the details that you just mentioned, and we'll include the photos of the hot tub, you know, the the photos that you uploaded with all of the details that you just mentioned.

Jeff: Yes, sir.

Commonplace: We'll upload it, you know we do our best to just try to advertise it, you know, in in the form of blogs. We post it on on the product page on social media, and we try our best to to help you sell it as soon as possible.

Jeff: Yes, sir.

Commonplace: And that's, you know, free of charge. There's nothing that you have to pay for that.

Jeff: That sounds good to me. We're just trying to get rid of it, and it's it's a good hot tub.

Commonplace: Well, that's that's it for my questions. You know, we we hope to sell it for you as soon as possible, and you'll be notified via text or email or both, actually, you know, once you get any offers or it's purchased. And, yeah, in the meantime, you know, have a great rest of your day. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this.

Jeff: Yes, sir.

Commonplace: And, yeah, take care. All the best.

Jeff: Where where can I see this where can I see this listing at?

Commonplace: I can text you the link to the listing if you'd like. And then the login to update it, if you have any updates you wanna make, is usually just your phone number.

Jeff: That'd be great. That sounds great. Thank you, sir.

Commonplace: Have a great rest of your day. Take care.

Jeff: You too.
