Sold my 2023 Tonal across the country. The staff were great and facilitated everything quickly — I didn't lift a finger.
Worry-free from start to finish. Pricing beat what I was seeing on Facebook Marketplace, and I never had to deal with a flaky buyer.
Excellent communication, very easy to deal with. Highly recommended.

Selling a used Tonal can feel like a real challenge, and we understand the hurdles. Finding a serious buyer is often the toughest part; many people inquire but never follow through. Then there’s the logistics of transporting something as bulky and heavy as a Tonal. And figuring out a fair price is tricky when you’re unsure of the resale value. We’ve helped hundreds of sellers navigate these exact issues, and we’re here to share what works.
Start by assessing its condition honestly; buyers care about how well it’s been maintained, any wear, and whether it works as it should. Take clear photos from multiple angles, including any scratches or damage, as transparency builds trust. When creating a listing, include the year, brand, age, and any upgrades. Many sellers struggle because they post in places with low visibility or unreliable buyers. Focus on reaching the right audience by highlighting what makes your Tonal unique.
Resale value depends on several factors, and we’ve seen a wide range based on age and condition. A well-maintained Tonal that’s a few years old might retain a good portion of its value, while older models with heavy wear drop significantly. Popular brands or standout features hold value better. One pitfall: underpricing to sell quickly often attracts flaky buyers or lowball offers. Take time to research comparable sales to set a realistic price.
The biggest mistake is failing to vet buyers, which leads to no-shows or scams. At Commonplace we match you with reliable buyers, handle logistics like pickup, and ensure secure payment. You list with us, we confirm the Tonal’s condition, match you with a buyer, coordinate pickup, and handle payment timing so there are no surprises. If you want to see what yours could sell for, we’re happy to help you get started with no pressure.
