Owner: Not bad. Not bad.

Commonplace: The reason I was calling you earlier is just to get a few words from you about your golf cart. I saw you listed an awesome icon, 2025 Uncommon place. And so I'm just trying to get it sold for you. So I'll just ask you a couple of questions if that's okay. Do you have, like, five to ten minutes?

Owner: Yes, sir.

Commonplace: And it's okay if we record it just so we can have it on your listing and also share it on also social media with some of our ads? Well, you're listening to the Commonplace talk show. Owner: I bought it because I was living in a golf cart community in Charleston, South Carolina. It was keeping up with the Joneses. My wife wanted to my wife wanted we had one of the normal golf carts, and this one got, you know, the stereo, the all the fancy stuff, steering wheel or not steering wheel, seat belts. It it does with the governor on it, it'll do 25 miles an hour, which it's I don't wanna drive drive it if it went any faster.

Owner: And now it's just all the kids are out of the house, and I have no need for a souped up golf cart that's raised and will cruise down the road.

Commonplace: That makes total sense. So tell me, is this street legal? Does it have a VIN on it?

Owner: It's I don't know if yes. It does have a VIN, and it's got turn signals, and it's completely street legal. I think in Florida, you have to register it as a low speed vehicle instead of a golf cart.

Commonplace: And does it come with a title?

Owner: I don't think golf carts don't come don't have titles.

Commonplace: There are some states that issue the where at least you can register it and, you know, they'll they'd issue a title for it. But I, yeah, I understand most golf carts don't have a title.

Owner: You just take the bill of sale and they'll register it.

Commonplace: Exactly. Exactly. So tell me, this one has a lithium battery, and most of these icons usually come with lead acid batteries. Is that something that you upgraded, or did it come with it?

Owner: That particular model comes with the lithium batteries, which are great because they're so much lighter and it charges in, like, an hour versus, like, twelve.

Commonplace: What's the range on it approximately?

Owner: On one charge, with the pedal to the floor the whole time, between thirty five and forty miles.

Commonplace: And approximately, like, how many miles would you say you put on it?

Owner: I don't I I don't even know. I think it's got, like, 1,800 miles.

Commonplace: That's really not bad. I mean, some of these golf carts, you know, have thousands of miles on them, and they're still in great shape. Did you keep it in a garage the whole time?

Owner: Oh, yeah.

Owner: I I just I I don't have any I I I don't have any reason to use it.

Something that, like, the manual doesn't necessarily tell you, but you kinda have to figure out while you're owning it. Maybe it was, like, the stereo system that you liked, or is there something else that that you were, you know, genuinely surprised by when when you first started owning it?

Owner: Just I I wasn't used to I didn't know I mean, it's like, the besides the speed, the speed is shocking.

Owner: And but no. I mean, it's it's it's way too much for a golf cart, but it is a golf cart. You know, like, I don't know why I have to have the premium seats. You know, it's it's got a backup camera.
