Commonplace inspects listings, and we spoke directly with the owner of this 2024 Halotherapy Solutions HaloSauna 2000.

Buying big used items online can feel sketchy, right? Too many unknowns, too much risk. You worry about scams, misrepresentations, or just plain bad surprises. That’s why we don’t just list items; we get involved. Commonplace sends drivers to pick up and inspect every item, but first, we verify the details with the seller. We did just that for this Halosauna, getting the real story on its condition and history. If there are any slight timeline inconsistencies (like a hurricane date vs. usage duration), we clarify those for you, so you know exactly what you’re getting.

Almost new, with only 14 months of use

This 2024 Halotherapy Solutions HaloSauna 2000 is in like-new condition, having been in use for approximately 14 months.

Nobody wants a ‘used’ item that looks beat up. The pain of expecting one thing and getting another is real. You might think a year of use means noticeable wear and tear. But this unit? It’s been meticulously kept. The owner confirmed it’s “like new,” used for about 14 months since January 2024. This isn’t just any infrared sauna, either; it features deep penetrative true infrared heat, using light to heat your body, not the air. Plus, it comfortably fits two larger people, with heat panels behind, beside, behind legs, and in front for even heat distribution. It even includes a firmly powerful red light for full coverage and built-in halotherapy (colored light therapy). You’re getting a premium experience without the premium wear.

Snag a $14,500 sauna for just $9,000

You can own this premium Halotherapy Solutions HaloSauna 2000 for $9,000, saving $5,500 off its original retail price of $14,500.

Paying full retail for something that loses value the moment it leaves the store? It just feels wrong. You want value, but you also want quality, and often, those seem mutually exclusive. It’s a tough spot, feeling like you have to compromise. But with this Halosauna, you don’t. The original retail price was a solid $14,500, but it’s listed here for $9,000. That’s a huge saving for a unit that’s practically new. The owner is only selling because they “had a much larger space before we had to downsize after a hurricane came through last year and it just does not fit in the new space.” So, their loss is your gain; you get a top-tier sauna for thousands less.

Here is how buying and delivery works on Commonplace: a driver inspects it, delivers it, and you get 60 minutes to test it before you pay. Every item carries a 60-day warranty.

Deep heat, lung support, and brain pathways

This Halosauna 2000 offers deep penetrative true infrared heat, halotherapy, and red light therapy, providing benefits like improved lung function and brain support.

Traditional saunas can feel suffocating, right? That intense, dry heat can make it hard to breathe, limiting your session and the benefits you can get. You might even avoid saunas altogether because of that feeling. But this Halosauna is different. The owner noted, “This is a way that they can get the benefits, get the full benefits, deep penetrative heat without having to feel that suffocating of traditional saunas.” He even said it “helped me get my lung function back. It kind of blew the doctor away.” Plus, with the included colored light therapy, it’s “one of the simplest, but the most straightforward, fast-acting way to support your brain to create new pathways.” And don’t worry about space; “I’m a larger guy and two larger people can fit in here comfortably.”

Simple to maintain, with owner’s cheat sheet

Maintaining this HaloSauna 2000 is straightforward, requiring weekly vacuuming and glass wiping when using the salt generator, and the owner provides setting codes.

Nobody wants a high-maintenance item that eats up your free time. The thought of complex cleaning routines or fiddly settings can be a real turn-off, making you question if the benefits are worth the hassle. You might even put off using it just to avoid the upkeep. But the owner assures us, “They’re very easy.” Maintenance mainly involves weekly vacuuming, wiping glass, and refilling the salt canister when you’re using the salt generator. He put it simply: “It’s very simple.” And for optimal salt intake, the sauna is actually programmed to run the salt generator only when the temperature is between 84 and 95 degrees. Plus, the owner will provide a “cheat sheet with settings codes for different programs,” so you can hit the ground running.

We handle the heavy lifting, you get 60 days to love it

Commonplace coordinates pickup, delivery, and inspection, letting you test the sauna for 60 minutes before payment, backed by a 60-day warranty.

Buying big items used usually means you’re on your own for logistics, inspection, and any post-purchase issues. That’s a huge headache; you have to figure out how to move it, hope it works, and pray nothing breaks down after you’ve paid. That kind of risk stops a lot of good deals from happening. But not with Commonplace. We send our drivers to pick it up, inspect it, and deliver it right to you. You get a full 60 minutes to test the sauna out in your space before you pay a dime. And if anything goes wrong in the first couple months? We’ve got you covered with a 60-day warranty. It’s how we take the fear out of buying big.

Full interview transcript

Below is the full conversation with the owner of this Halotherapy Solutions HaloSauna 2000 infrared sauna, recorded when they listed it on Commonplace. It is the actual seller interview, unedited, so you can hear first-hand why it is for sale, its condition, and what is included.

Hello. Hey Robert, this is Ari. I was just calling from Commonplace about your HaloTherapy sauna. I just wanted to ask you a few questions. We’re doing a little bit of an infomercial and some of the questions, some of the answers that you give might be helpful for a buyer that’s looking to buy this sauna.

Okay. Awesome. Do you have like five to ten minutes now? Yeah, I do. Okay, perfect.

So, I’ll give a little bit of an intro and then I’ll jump right into the questions, okay? Awesome. You’re listening to the Commonplace talk show and we have real owners, real listings and at Commonplace you can buy high-end items totally safely. We verify the item, we hold the payment in escrow and then we handle the delivery and installation upon at your door at delivery. And today we have a 2024 HaloTherapy Solutions HaloSauna 2000.

It’s in Like New and it’s a two-person infrared sauna and it’s located in North Carolina. It’s listed for just a fraction of what this owner paid retail. So, why don’t we jump right into it? Tell me what we have here and why you’re selling it now. We had a much larger space before we had to downsize after a hurricane came through last year and it just does not fit in the new space.

Here we just do massage only and then the other one we had a salt room, we had a cold room, we had a lot of other modalities in there, estheticians, physical therapists. So, it kind of fit with the whole spot that we were at but not with the new one and people just don’t like getting a massaging and getting all hot and sweaty afterwards, you know? So, we’re just trying to free up the space. We absolutely love it. We did our research for years before we put the plunge and put out the cash for it.

We paid cash for it. We didn’t finance it. It’s by far the best type. It’s true infrared. It’s made by the, we feel, the top brand HaloTherapy Solutions.

It has the salt. When I got it, I didn’t believe much. I got it from salt but I had just had a major lung surgery after a blood clot and that was what helped me get my lung function back. It kind of blew the doctor away. Wow.

That’s amazing. So, tell me a little bit more about the research you did when you were comparing this HaloTherapy Solutions sauna with some of the other brands and models. Like, what really sold it for you on this one? Well, the deep penetrative heat. It’s true infrared.

It uses light to heat you up. I’m sensitive and a lot of our clients were sensitive to really hot air and this is a way that they can get the benefits, get the full benefits, deep penetrative heat without having to feel that suffocating of traditional saunas or some of the deeper infrared where it really relies on heating the air to heat your skin. This is using light to actually create the heat in your muscles and in your body. Amazing. Are there any of the specs that come with this model that you want to highlight for the next owner?

Something that might not be obvious just from first glance? I really like how much space there is. I’m a larger guy and two larger people can fit in here comfortably. It’s very well designed. When you sit down, you’ve got panels behind you, beside you, behind your legs, in front of you.

You’re fully surrounded so it’s a really good even heat with two large people in there. The red light can be used. It’s got an attached and firmly powerful red light. It also is well positioned and well designed so that most people can get full red light coverage. It also has halo therapy which is light colored light therapy.

Very good for people that have had somatic brain injuries or they suffer by changing from the five different light spectrum. Each time your brain senses the light things, it has to either use them or form a new one. So when you’re on the hill of brain injury, colored light therapy is one of the simplest but the most straightforward way to support your brain to create new pathways. Amazing. Tell me a little bit about how long you’ve owned it and if there was any service or maintenance.

What does it really look like owning one of these things? They’re very easy. With the salt now, that’s the one thing. Salt is corrosive. When you do use the salt generator, it’s broadcasting salt.

I usually have it on a routine of once a week, take the carpet out of the bottom, vacuum that and do a full shop vac, a good vacuuming of the inside, wipe the glass, refill the salt canister and you’re done. It’s very simple. We only had it at our location from January of 2024 to June of 2025 when the hurricane hit. We luckily had it in the one room that didn’t get damaged from the roof. So it was perfectly protected but we got it out of there right away and it was just set up to be able to sell it, just to take new pictures and be able to sell it to people.

So it’s only in use for about 14 months. Wow. So really pretty much like new and it sounds like you’ve taken really good service of it while you owned it. Yeah, very much like new condition. Okay.

And you’re selling it just because you don’t have enough space for it, you moved to a new location. But other than that, everything is good. Is there any tips or advice that you could give the next owner that might not be obvious from the manual or maybe something that you have to look up in a YouTube video? Just something helpful. I made myself a cheat sheet because it’s got so many different things you can do with it.

I made myself a cheat sheet that I’ll be passing on to the new owner with all the settings. That’s amazing. Is there anything that you want to highlight just for this so we can give like a sneak peek of what could be on that cheat sheet? It’s just the codes for different settings because it comes pre-programmed for like, say you want a heated sauna with no salt or say you wanted salt and salt only works well. Your body can only intake salt between 84 and 95 degrees.

So it’s set for the salt to just run during that and not run when the temperature in the sauna gets higher because your body can’t use it. Why waste it? And there’s just different ways you can add your own custom settings into that for your own temperature comfort. Amazing. Okay.

Robert, I think that’s it for me. If there is anything else that you’d like to add that I didn’t ask you about, feel free to let me know and we can add it for you. Overall it’s pretty straightforward. It’s a really nice looking unit, really easy to maintain and clean. So we’ve loved it.

We wouldn’t get rid of it if we had 12 rooms, but we went from 12 rooms to two and it just doesn’t fit. So someone will get a really good machine. Do you happen to see in front of you what we listed in that? Yeah, let me check it out. So right now it’s listed with delivery.

So that’s priced in within a hundred miles. It’s $9,000 delivered and it looks like you paid $14,500 for it. Yeah. Now on our end, if it’s sold through commonplace, that delivery comes out of our money, right? So the delivery comes from the $9,000, but I believe there’s also a transaction fee of 20% of what you listed it for and that, yeah, that would come out of the total payout, but the payout would be, um, you know, it would be in the text once it’s sold and you can also check out on your end on the listing and you can adjust the price, you know, however you want.

Okay. I think, uh, it’s been up for a couple of weeks. I was thinking about going on and dropping it by another 500 or so. Okay. So I’ll get onto that part.

We’ll add this audio clip to the listing as well as a slide show of the beautiful photos that you added of the sauna. So we’ll advertise that as well as the listing that you have here. Okay. I appreciate it. Of course, Robert and have a great rest of your day.

Thank you so much. Bye-bye.
