2019 Sunlighten mPulse Contour 3-Person Sauna, Like New, Infrared for Sale in Louisville, KY ($8,250)

You’re looking for a used Sunlighten mPulse Contour sauna, and this specific 2019 model in Louisville, KY, priced at $8250, might just be the one. This isn’t just any used sauna; it’s a ‘like new’ infrared unit that offers full-spectrum therapeutic benefits, straight from an owner who barely used it.
I’m Ari Kimmelfeld, founder of Commonplace. I get it, buying big used items can be a headache. That’s why we dig deep. I’ve personally vetted the details and spoken with the owner of this Sunlighten mPulse Contour, so you know exactly what you’re getting.

This 2019 Sunlighten mPulse Contour is Truly ‘Like New’
The owner states this 2019 Sunlighten mPulse Contour sauna has seen “not more than 200 hours” of use and “still smells new,” making its ‘like new’ condition a legitimate claim.
When you’re shelling out $8250 for a big item like a sauna, you want to know it’s legit, right? There’s nothing worse than thinking you’ve found a deal only to discover it’s been thrashed. It’s a huge waste of time, money, and frankly, a total letdown. But here’s the deal with this Sunlighten: the owner was clear it was used right up until his wife’s back surgery, and then “not used in last 2-3 years.”
He told me, “I can tell you it’s not more than 200 hours since 2019.” That’s incredibly low usage for a 2019 model. And he even said, “Nothing wrong with it, still smells new.” So, for all intents and purposes, you’re getting a barely-used sauna without the new-sauna price tag.

Benefit from Unique Cedar & Eucalyptus Construction
This 2019 Sunlighten mPulse Contour boasts a unique construction of eucalyptus wood and cedar, a combination the owner notes is no longer available in new models.
You might be thinking, “Okay, ‘like new’ is one thing, but what about the actual build quality and materials?” It’s crucial, especially for something you’ll be spending time in. You don’t want a sauna made with cheap materials that won’t last or feel good. That impacts the whole experience and even the longevity. But this 2019 model has a distinct advantage: its construction.
The owner pointed out, “Now I understand that you can’t get one made anymore, a new one, that has any cedar in it, so eucalyptus or some other wood.” This specific unit combines eucalyptus and cedar, offering a build quality and aromatic experience that newer models simply don’t. It’s a detail that adds tangible value and a better feel to this specific used sauna.

Easy Disassembly, Reassembly, and Power Hookup
This 3-person Sunlighten sauna is designed for easy transport, coming apart into six panels plus the door and bench, and requires a standard 220 volt, 20 amp air conditioner-type outlet.
One of the biggest headaches with big used items is always, “How am I going to get this thing home and set it up?” It’s a real barrier. You don’t want to buy something amazing only to find out it’s a nightmare to move or install. That’s why we love that this Sunlighten is built to be manageable. It literally “comes apart: six panels, plus door and bench,” and is described as “easy to disassemble/reassemble.”
And when it comes to power, the owner confirmed, “it takes a 220 volt, 20 amp, it’s already wired for it. You have to have like an air conditioner or outlet where one of the prongs is perpendicular to the other.” It’s “plug and play.” So, you’re looking at a straightforward setup once it’s in your space, not a complicated electrical overhaul.
Here is how buying and delivery works on Commonplace: a driver inspects it, delivers it, and you get 60 minutes to test it before you pay. Every item carries a 60-day warranty.

Save Thousands on a Premium, Barely Used Sauna
This 2019 Sunlighten mPulse Contour, priced at $8250, represents significant savings compared to its original purchase price of just under $16,000 and current new MSRP of over $20,000.
Nobody wants to feel like they’re getting ripped off, especially when buying used. You’re looking to save money, not pay new prices for a second-hand item. The fear of overpaying can stop you dead in your tracks. But let’s talk numbers on this one: the original purchase price in 2019 was “just under $16,000 (delivered, installed, shipped, sales tax).”
And it gets better. The owner told me, “So the MSRP that I looked at about six months ago, for the exact same thing, less what you can’t get anymore. It was delivered just north of $20,000.” So, at $8250, you’re getting a premium, barely-used sauna for well under half of its current retail value. That’s a serious deal for a high-end therapeutic unit.

Peace of Mind with Therapeutic Benefits and Support
This therapeutic, full-spectrum infrared sauna offers programmable settings for various benefits, requires “next to zero” maintenance, and may have transferable lifetime warranty elements with remote diagnostic support.
You’re investing in a health and wellness item, so you want to know it’s going to work, keep working, and actually deliver on its promises. No one wants a big, expensive paperweight. That’s why the therapeutic capabilities and potential support are so important. The owner confirmed it’s “therapeutic, full spectrum” and offers “programmable, various programs/settings (detox, relax, de-stress, deep tissue).” He even said, “it really helped my wife along.”
Maintenance is “next to zero,” which is a huge win. And for long-term confidence, the owner mentioned, “And there are elements that Sunlighten still will honor a lifetime warranty. Most of it’s transferable over to a new owner.” Plus, for troubleshooting, “if you call their service technical service, if you have any issues, they can plug into your to the unit and run a diagnosis and tell you what’s going on.” That’s real peace of mind for a used item.

Full interview transcript
Below is the full conversation with the owner of this 2019 Sunlighten mPulse Contour 3, recorded when they listed it on Commonplace. It is the actual seller interview, unedited, so you can hear first-hand why it is for sale, its condition, and what is included.
Hey Joseph, this is Ari. I’m just calling from Commonplace about your awesome Sunlight sauna. How’s it going? It’s going well. I’m glad you called.
It’s right in the middle of a job that I don’t want to do. Do you have like 5 to 10 minutes and we could do like a quick interview about it? Sure, I do. Hang on a minute. Let me get clean in the basement.
134-year-old basement. And then that long since I cleaned it. Perfect. I’ll jump in with a quick intro just for the episode. It’ll be live on your listing pretty much after the call.
And we’ll also push it out to YouTube and some of the other social media sites to get it sold. And then I’ll ask you some questions. So you’re listening to Commonplace where we have real owners, real listings. Commonplace is where you buy and sell high-value items the Safeway. We verify the item.
We hold the payment in escrow and handle the delivery to your door. Today we have a 2019 Sunlight’n impulse contour, 3-person sauna. It’s like new and it’s an infrared in Louisville, Kentucky. It’s listed at a great price, a fraction of retail. And let’s meet Joe, who’s the owner of this sauna.
So tell me a little bit about when you bought it, why you bought this one, and why you’re selling it. Well, okay. Thank you for the opportunity. We bought it new from Sunlight’n out of Kansas City when we were living in El Paso. At the time, my wife was going through some really intense lower back issues, congenital issues, but fortunately she’s been a third of those things through surgery and we no longer need it, but we had it delivered down there.
It was really nice for that kind of weather. We were way up high. It was high and cold and dry. And then I got a position near Louisville and we relocated here seven years ago, took it with us. It comes apart.
It’s six panels plus the door and the bench. It’s really pretty easy. I put it together myself to put it apart myself. And we used it right up to the time she had her back reconstructed. It sure went great.
We just haven’t used it in the last couple, three years. It’s still hooked up. It’s Wi-Fi capable. Now it’s got the old Android 6.0 version in it, so you can’t get on a browser anymore, but you can Bluetooth it. And you can run Wi-Fi through your phone through Bluetooth.
It’s a three-person. And at the time, the construction was a combination of eucalyptus wood and cedar. Now I understand that you can’t get one made anymore, a new one, that has any cedar in it, so eucalyptus or some other wood. So I don’t know what else to tell you about it. I think it’s therapeutic.
It’s a full spectrum. Sunlighten is considered one of the top. And we think it’s time for somebody else to be able to enjoy it. And it really helped my wife along. You can detox.
You can relax. You can do some training. It’s programmable. You can have all kinds of different programs and settings. It’ll go up to 160 degrees.
And it is infrared. It’s not steam heat. Very different. Got it. And tell me a little bit like what you were comparing when you were in the purchasing process.
What kind of sauna were you looking at, and how did you ultimately end up with this one? Well, at the time that we were in Kansas City before El Paso, we were renting a sauna time from different day spas in Kansas City. And we decided, I think Sunlighten, they have a spa below their headquarters. And there’s like eight or nine of these units, which was at the time their product line. And you could buy some sauna time from them.
And we did because it was on special. And compared to the other saunas, the steam, the conventional heat, we loved it. It was a very, very different experience than the other saunas that we use. So we weren’t really shopping for it, but we ended up buying it because we loved it so much. So if a friend was on the fence about buying a sauna, but they’ve been browsing, they’ve been thinking about buying a sauna for a while, what would you tell them?
Well, this is a good question. I would tell them to make sure they try the basic differences between the types of sauna. Or it depends on what they need it for. The infrared, this Sunlighten is designed for a variety of different treatments. Like I said, they have detox, it’s got after work, it’s got relax, it’s got de-stress, it’s therapeutic.
It really wants to get some deep tissue treatment. It’s got everything in one package. And there are elements that Sunlighten still will honor a lifetime warranty. Most of it’s transferable over to a new owner. Yeah, I would make sure that that happens.
They have to register it with Sunlighten to do that, but that’s really not that hard to do. That’s a really helpful tip. Yeah. And again, if you do your shopping, there’s good ones out there. I’m not saying Sunlighten is the absolute best, but once they get into a really exceptional category, you start looking at how many people can you get into it.
We bought the three man because two people can comfortably get in there and have plenty of their own space. And so it’s size, it takes a 220 volt, 20 amp, it’s already wired for it. You have to have like an air conditioner or outlet where one of the prongs is perpendicular to the other. Other than that, it’s plug and play. Amazing.
When they delivered it, did they set it up for you? I’m sorry. When they delivered it, did they set it up for you or what was the setup like? They delivered it in El Paso and I helped them. They set it up and I helped them.
And once I saw how easy it was, I didn’t need anybody to help me take it apart because we are using a national moving van company so that two people can easily handle the panels. Right. And whoever is listening to this and is thinking about buying it, they should know that commonplace will handle the full pickup, disassembly and reassembly and the delivery. So it’s totally hassle free. You can get it pretty much within a thousand miles of where you are and get it fully set up.
Very important. So it’s an indoor sauna. You could do some things to make sure that if you want to put it outside, but it doesn’t need to see heavy rain because of the interior and the exterior cedar and eucalyptus. Can you tell me a little bit about the maintenance of it? Was there anything that you had to do during the time that you owned it?
And how much usage has it gotten since you bought it? Maintenance next to zero. Every once in a while, you have to make sure that you link up with their servicer via the Internet. And if there’s any functional program changes, not like the entertainment center that uses Android 6. And by the way, it’s 2.4 gig.
Most routers in the world have both 5 and 2.4. But that’s important because it will not run on a 5 gig. But no maintenance. Zero. Other than washing the towels and the seat cushion.
As far as hours, it doesn’t have an hour meter that I’ve been able to pull out of the program. That would be a question for sunlight. And I can’t believe that it doesn’t have that feature. But I can tell you it’s not more than 200 hours since 2019. That’s really not much.
There’s nothing wrong with it, correct? Nothing’s wrong with it. No. It still smells new. It’s a beautiful aroma.
Amazing. And when you purchased it, what was your all-in price with delivery and everything? This is a fantastic deal that you have it listed for. And I just want whoever is considering buying it just knowing how much they’re saving versus buying new. And if they’re on the fence about buying something used.
I went back and looked at that. So delivered, installed, shipped from Kansas City, including everything, was just under $16,000. That’s sales tax in it. Wow. Now that’s then.
That’s not even. I mean, you want to get a new one. That’s 2019, yeah. This is seven years later. So the MSRP that I looked at about six months ago, for the exact same thing, less what you can’t get anymore.
It was delivered just north of $20,000. Wow. That’s actually crazy. Good deal. So you’re getting over, pretty much over 60 or 70% off retail today.
If you live within 100 miles of Louisville, you get free delivery. And then it’s pretty cheap beyond that. So even if it’s a few hundred miles, we definitely offer the full delivery and install. It’s about $1.50 per mile after that. So you’re still getting it way less than 50% off retail.
And as you hear, it’s in great condition. So if you’re on the fence about buying used, just listen to how well this was maintained. And there’s really nothing wrong with it. It has all the bells and whistles, and you’re getting a fraction of what new costs today. And you could probably get it delivered faster.
Do you remember how long you waited to get it delivered from the time that you ordered it? It shipped the same day, but it’s over the road, OTR. So it was about a week when the semi showed up. Okay. Yeah, with commonplace, you can expect two to three day delivery from the time you place an order just because we like to coordinate between the buyer and the seller and find the time that’s available for them.
Amazing. Is there anything else that you found useful? Maybe something that is not necessarily in the manual, but something that you had to maybe watch a YouTube video or something that you use the most about this sauna that you would just recommend to whoever the next owner is, like a quick tip. If somebody was coming to see this, like what would you tell them? You know, that’s an excellent question because it has so many features.
It took me a good six months of playing with it to figure out all of the and reading the user manual. Those things are like watching grass grow. So it’s highly recommended. I recommend you watch the YouTube. Sunlighten has one out there and they’ll walk you through the setup, the programming, all of the features, and they have a 24/7 service.
And if you call their service technical service, if you have any issues, they can plug into your to the unit and diet run diagnosis and tell you what’s going on. They’ll send you the part if it’s covered. It’s all revolves around the operational software that controls the light intensity. What spectrum of infrared really go through that to a YouTube, because that’s that’s the best way to get a good, you know, a good vantage point where what you have to deal with. And then you can zero in on what you want or need.
Makes perfect sense. Joe, I think that’s it. Unless there’s anything else you want to share about it. But, you know, I think you shared a lot about what it’s like owning it, what it’s like buying new, what the maintenance looks like. So if there’s anybody in the market for a used Sunlighten sauna or even a new Sunlighten sauna, definitely consider Joe’s Sunlighten Empulse three person sauna here.
And like you like you heard, it’s an excellent condition ready to be delivered within the next couple of days at pretty much 50 percent below what retail is with delivery, with escrow payments, with warranty options at checkout. And if you’ve got something like this sitting unused that you’re not really getting the full benefit from, we’ll interview you too. And feel free to make a listing at try calling place dot com. And Joe, thank you so much. This was really awesome.
We’ll be sending you over some clips from this episode that you can also share on any of your social media. If anybody you know might be interested and wants it as well. And we’ll be posting it on all of our platforms as well as your listing on commonplace to help itself. I’m so glad I found you guys. That’s awesome.
You definitely are top of the line in terms of help. I appreciate the time you gave me. Of course. And, you know, wishing you the best of luck and we’ll try to get it sold for you. for you.
All right Joe? Thank you. Take care. Have a great rest of your day. Bye bye.
